On the evening of July 18, 2012, in the parking lot of the airport "Sarafovo", which is located in Bulgaria (the city of Burgas), there was a strong explosion in a bus. At that moment, there were Israeli tourists who had come to rest at a local resort. Through this airport, several hundred Russian tourists arrive every day, but the terrorists hunted specifically for vacationers from Israel. The bomb was detonated by a suicide bomber who entered the bus with the passengers.

As a result of the terrorist attack, 35 Israeli citizens were injured, 34 of whom were taken home the next day by military transport planes. The bus driver, a suicide bomber and five Israelis were killed.

Two versions are checked at once. According to one of them, an explosive device was placed in a vehicle even before the tourists were boarding and luggage was placed, according to the other, a bomb was planted in a suitcase and exploded at the moment when things were loaded into the luggage compartment.

One hour before the explosion, the terrorist came under surveillance cameras at the airport. The man was wearing a tracksuit and had long hair. After his death, a driver's license was found in the name of a citizen of the United States of America, a resident of Michigan. But as it turned out a little later, the documents were fake. Law enforcement agencies are closely engaged in establishing the identity of the suicide bomber, DNA examination was carried out.

Almost an hour before the landing of the arriving passengers from Israel, eyewitnesses saw a certain man who now and then walked around the bus. When he entered the vehicle, an explosion thundered, his body suffered more than others. From which it was concluded that he carried an explosive device on himself. Israeli services are confident that Iran was involved in organizing this terrorist attack, but no evidence has yet been provided. Only on July 20, the Bulgarian airport will start operating normally.
