Plant sprouts are becoming more widespread as food and medicinal food. Much has been written about the benefits of nutrients activated during germination and about their assimilation. But there are also reviews about the dangers lurking in the use of germinated crops. Therefore, approach the cultivation of any seedlings responsibly so that health care is as complete as possible.

Necessary

Grain, potassium permanganate, dishes for washing, flat container for germination, gauze, clean water

Instructions

Step 1

Select crops to germinate. Almost all types of legumes (beans, beans, soybeans, peas, lentils, alfalfa), grains (rye, wheat, oats, buckwheat), as well as radishes, radishes, fenugreek and flax are suitable. Wheat sprouts are considered to be the most balanced in terms of nutrients, but the mineral composition and medicinal properties differ for each crop.

Step 2

Carefully select the seed for germination. It does not matter what kind of grain it is, but it must be of high quality: without spots, deformations, and even more so without beauty and insects. Choose the place of purchase of grain - it is better to do this in pharmacies and specialized stores, otherwise the grain may be pickled.

Step 3

Rinse 50-100 grains thoroughly under running cold water. Do not take too much so that you can only consume fresh sprouts. Then for some time (5-10 minutes) place the grain in a weak solution of potassium permanganate (potassium permanganate, potassium permanganate) for disinfection.

Step 4

Place the grain in a clean bowl and fill it with clean, preferably settled water. It can be completely covered with water. Cover with gauze or a towel and leave in a warm place. Cereals can be left for a couple of hours, legumes overnight.

Step 5

Rinse the germinated material with boiled water. Put in a low container - baking sheet, plate. It is better to put two layers of cheesecloth under the grain, it will keep moisture better, but not necessary. Cover the top again with gauze and moisten the grain well with boiled water at room temperature. Now the water should not completely cover the grain, but the top layer of the gauze should always be wet.

Step 6

Leave the container in a warm, sunny place for 1 to 2 days. Monitor the moisture content of the gauze. To speed up the process, it is recommended to cover the container with red glass, the red light generated promotes the growth of the grains. But even without glass, after 12 hours the wheat grains begin to hatch together, after another 6 hours the length of the seedlings reaches 2-3 mm.
