Advantages

Eccentric type furniture screeds are a three-component structure, which includes footstocks, uprights and the eccentric itself. Such a mechanism is a bit like self-tapping screws, but it has great advantages over them. Furniture fittings, which are fastened with such ties, give the interior an aesthetic look, since they are almost invisible. This allows you to give the installations a holistic shape, as if the fasteners did not exist at all. This feature will be truly appreciated by designers and simply those people who love to create beauty even in small things. In addition, the structure can be mounted in any type of furniture.

If the furniture is fastened with eccentric ties, you can be sure of its reliability and strength. Such a mount can withstand up to five disassembly and assembly cycles. At home, installation is carried out using a conventional drill or screwdriver, and you can screw the structure with an ordinary hexagon. As already mentioned, eccentric screeds are suitable for all types of furniture. This is possible due to the fact that they can be of different sizes: 5 by 50 mm, 7 by 70 and 7 by 50. It is this design that allows the use of ties at any angle of inclination, which cannot be said about other types of fastening designed only for a specific axis.

Flaws

Like any other thing, eccentric ties have disadvantages, which, of course, are less than advantages. The most important of these is the high cost of construction. Unfortunately, this type of fastening for the price is many times higher than the cost of ordinary bolts and screws. Although the explanation is very simple: screeds are made of durable material, and quality today always costs more than unreliable counterparts.

Another drawback: eccentric screeds do not tolerate miscalculations during the installation process. At the factory, all distances are determined accurately with the help of special mechanisms, but at home they have to be assessed independently. Any miscalculation of more than five millimeters will ruin all the furniture, and, accordingly, the interior itself. However, such shortcomings once again emphasize the features of eccentric screeds, since they are the safest and most reliable type of furniture assembly. You just need to observe accuracy and not be stingy when buying this item, then you can not worry about the beauty of the furniture and the quality of its assembly for a long time.
