The dashboard is one of the most important parts of the car interior. Sometimes, in order to repair or replace a panel, it becomes necessary to dismantle it. Removing the instrument panel is a rather painstaking work that requires certain knowledge, time and attention. However, if you are confident in your abilities, you can try to do it yourself.

  • - crosshead screwdriver;
  • - slotted screwdriver;
  • - spanners.

Instructions

Step 1

Disconnect the minus terminal from the battery battery. Unscrew the screws securing the left dashboard console trim using a Phillips screwdriver. Withdraw the protrusion located at the bottom of the trim from the body bracket and remove the trim.

Step 2

Remove the screws securing the right dashboard trim using a Phillips screwdriver. Dismantle the screen.

Step 3

Remove the radio, disconnect the wiring harness block from the cigarette lighter. Remove the backlight bulb holder. Unscrew the self-tapping screws and drown the diagnostic connector block.

Step 4

Remove the heater fan switch handle by prying it off with a screwdriver. To do this, insert a slotted screwdriver between the handle and the lever.

Step 5

Unscrew the self-tapping screws located above and below the instrument panel. Pry with a slotted screwdriver and remove the plug. Unscrew the upper self-tapping screw securing the instrument panel trim. Unscrew the bottom mounting screws. Take the instrument panel panel to the side.

Step 6

Mark or memorize the order in which the wires are connected to the switches. Disconnect the harness blocks from the onboard monitoring system and from the rocker switches. If necessary, remove the switches from the dashboard trim. Remove the dashboard panel.

Step 7

Remove the screws securing the steering column bracket and lower the column down. Move the dashboard bracket to the side. Disconnect the fuse and relay holders and controller from it. Remove the steering column switches.

Step 8

Remove the light switch cylinder and the headlight hydraulic corrector cylinder. Disconnect the wires. Remove the heater control levers.

Step 9

Unscrew the screws securing the steering column and lower it. Unscrew the self-tapping screws securing the instrument panel with a Phillips screwdriver.

Step 10

Remove the "ears" of the right and left dashboard cross members from the mounting studs and pull the panel towards you. Disconnect the drawer light wires. Remove the dashboard together with the cross members.

Step 11

Remove the dashboard air ducts. Unscrew the fastening bolts and detach the trim along with the upper box body from the dashboard.

Step 12

Unscrew the screws and remove the right and left dashboard cross members. Dismantle the case of the lower and upper drawers.

Step 13

Unscrew the fastening bolts of the upper drawer lid hinges and separate the lid from the dashboard trim. The assembly of the panel elements must be carried out in the reverse order.
