Instructions

Step 1

If you bought a defective or low-quality product, then within two weeks you can return it to the store. It is advisable that you have a receipt for this product and the corresponding documents for it. However, the absence of a receipt does not affect your right to apply for a return or exchange of goods (Article 18 of the Law "On Protection of Consumer Rights"). You will need a registration certificate for the purchased product or the testimony of two witnesses who will confirm the fact that you purchased this product in the store.

Step 2

Before you go with a defective product to the store where it was sold to you, you must write a claim in duplicate. It should clearly indicate your requirement: a refund or exchange of goods for a similar, but high-quality one. One copy of the statement remains with the seller, and the other with you with a mark on the acceptance of this claim by the seller. Within the statutory period (usually 10 days), your requirements must be fulfilled.

Step 3

Claim writing tends to get sellers to fulfill your wishes. In large stores, where they are sensitive to customers, they will do so in order to maintain their reliable reputation. But if this did not happen, your requirements were not fulfilled within the prescribed period, then you have the right to contact the local Consumer Rights Protection Committee with a request to help resolve the current controversial situation.

Step 4

Well, if this did not help, then go to court with a statement of claim to terminate the contract for the sale of this low-quality product or return money for it. Additionally, you can claim compensation for non-pecuniary damage.

Step 5

There are situations, for example, when the complete set of goods indicated on the packaging does not match its contents, then it is necessary to write a complaint not to the store, but to the company that manufactured this product. Remember that the Law "On Protection of Consumer Rights" is on your side. You have every right to return defective or defective goods.
