Oneirology is the science of studying dreams. Thanks to numerous observations of scientists, experiments, techniques, psychotropic drugs, seeing vivid dreams "on demand" has become real. However, with one wave of the hand, of course, it will not work to achieve a ringing television picture with an adventure plot in a dream. In order to regularly plunge into fantasy colored dreams, special preparation of consciousness and inner work on oneself are required.

Step 1

Vivid dreams occur during the rapid eye movement phase (scientists call it REM). This stage occurs every 1.5-2 hours of sleep, and with its repetition, the duration of REM gradually lengthens. In a person at this moment, not only the eyeballs move quickly, but also rapid breathing and temporary relaxation of the skeletal muscles. Oneurologists have shown that dreams can also be seen during periods of slow wave sleep, but these visions are less emotional. The dreamer, as a rule, is not aware that he is sleeping, perceiving vivid visions as an objective reality. At the same time, a person can change the course of events in a dream, control, manage them.

Step 2

To learn to dream vividly, be guided by a scientific approach. Somnologists call it the rule of four I's, which includes: invitation, intention, inspiration and inscription. Having learned to control your mind, you will be able to control and "order" dreams.

Step 3

Get ready for bed. To do this, you need to turn on relaxing music, escape from the hustle and bustle, perhaps take a bath or light candles. In general, you need to create a calm, warm and comfortable environment. Invitation means preparation of consciousness. After all the relaxing activities, your mind should be free of emotions. Learning to gain peace of mind is essential as it is extremely important in preparing for bed.

Step 4

The next stage is intention - goal setting. In your mind, in the smallest detail, formulate what you would like to see in a dream. Move away from negative feelings and dark memories. To focus on your goal, mentally repeat it several times, or better write on paper or draw.

Step 5

Inspiration means your active role. Take control of your consciousness, your actions, your visions, but do not forget about the natural course of events. Imagine yourself in a boat sailing on its own along a calm river. You should not resist the current, let it lead you, but do not forget that it is in your power to take the oar and turn the boat in the opposite direction.

Step 6

Inscription, or memorization, implies that you will be taking mental notes. As you drift off to sleep, visually monitor every detail of your sleep. Try to speak, record, remember what you see.

Step 7

Learn to wake up gradually. While you are still asleep, lie down for 5-10 minutes before getting up and waking up completely. This is necessary in order to fix everything that you just saw in a dream. After several successful attempts to memorize the dream, you will learn how to gently get out of the dream whenever you want.
