A few years ago, such an expression as "abnormal heat" was very atypical for the inhabitants of Russia. The phrase “abnormal cold” is somehow closer to Russians. But everything is changing. Now, looking at the thermometer in the summer, you involuntarily come to the conclusion that, perhaps, global warming is not such a myth.

In recent years, summer in some parts of Russia has been especially hot, and many are no longer happy about this. Residents of megacities especially suffer from the heat, and not everyone has a chance to go out of town even on weekends. To feel as comfortable as possible in the heat, you can take note of a few recommendations:

- Drink plenty of fluids. In hot weather, dehydration occurs much faster than usual. To quench your thirst, drinking or mineral water at room temperature, or compotes are suitable;

- Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages. In the heat, alcohol is more slowly excreted from the body and can lead to severe intoxication or overheating;

- Forget about energy drinks and coffee. They greatly increase blood pressure, which is dangerous even on ordinary days, and in the heat, the risk of exacerbation of cardiovascular diseases increases;

- Do not leave the house without a hat and sunglasses. So you will be able to avoid sunstroke and protect your eyes from the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation;

- Eat more fruits. They contain a lot of water and useful vitamins and minerals. In addition, the body spends less energy on their digestion than on protein products;

- Dress for the weather. In the heat, it is best to give preference to clothing made from natural fabrics: cotton, linen, silk. Shoes should be as comfortable and free as possible;

- Ventilate the room at night, and during the day cover the windows with reflective tape or blackout curtains to prevent the penetration of sunlight;

- Take time for water treatments. You don't have to shower all the time. During the day, you can rinse your feet with cool water.
