A sanitary protection zone is established for each enterprise, which is a source of harmful effects on the environment and human health. For such zones, there is a special mode of use. Any construction is prohibited in them, they are used to organize additional landscaping. The green spaces that are planted in them contribute to the screening, assimilation and filtration of polluted air.

You can determine the sanitary protection zone of your enterprise using SanPiN 2.2.1 / 2.1.1.1200-03. According to this document, its width should be established taking into account the sanitary classification of industrial production, preliminary calculations of atmospheric air pollution and the levels of physical effects on the environment and human health. For operating enterprises, when determining it, use the results of field studies.

According to the sanitary classification, all industrial enterprises and other objects that are sources of harmful effects are divided into five classes. For enterprises of the first class, the width of the sanitary protection zone is set at 1000 m, for the second class - 500 m, for the third - 300 m, for the fourth - 100 m and the fifth - 50 m. Determine which class your enterprise belongs to, using the parameters established for each of them SanPiN 2.2.1 / 2.1.1.1200-03.
Step 4
The border of the sanitary protection zone is a closed conditional line that limits the territory within which the regulated exposure factors exceed the established hygienic standards

To develop a project for organizing a sanitary protection zone for your enterprise or a group of enterprises located in a single industrial zone, invite a specialized organization licensed for such design work, which includes specialists who have received environmental education. Development of the project and determination of the width of the sanitary protection zone is carried out on the basis of an agreement or contract.
