Instructions

Step 1

Get tested at a medical facility. Sometimes motion sickness is a symptom of diseases of the cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal tract or metabolic disorders. Special concerns should be caused by cases of a sharp deterioration in health while traveling. Having cured the underlying disease, you will automatically get rid of problems with the vestibular apparatus.

Step 2

Strengthen your vestibular system through exercise. Swimming, running, volleyball, basketball are best suited for these purposes. These sports strengthen certain muscle groups, develop coordination of movements and, as a result, increase resistance to motion sickness.

Step 3

Improve your vestibular performance with specific stability and coordination exercises. It is quite difficult to perform them, so it is worth starting with a small number of repetitions and holding the position for only a few seconds. Increase the duration of the exercise as your vestibular system improves. The signal that you have achieved your goal will be the ability to exercise fully and in good health.

Step 4

Starting position: stand up straight, legs together, arms to the sides. Close your eyes. Stand for 30 seconds. Lower your arms freely and stand for another 20 seconds.

Step 5

Take the starting position. Stand up on your toes. Hold the position for 15 seconds. Close your eyes and stand for another 15 seconds. Lower your arms and hold this position for 15 seconds.

Step 6

Stand up on your toes, arms along your body. Tilt your head back. Stand for 10 seconds. Close your eyes and hold the position for another 7 seconds.

Step 7

Stand up on your toes and quickly do 10 forward bends with your head.

Step 8

Stand on one leg with your arms to the sides. Stand for 15 seconds. Close your eyes and stand for another 10 seconds. Change your leg and repeat the exercise.

Step 9

If exercise does not help, go to a specialized hospital that has vestibular training equipment. With their help, you will find an effective prophylaxis against motion sickness.
