The horse is a great toy, familiar to everyone from the Soviet past. When there were not so many toys in the store, every child considered it a joy to ride on such a wooden stick. Yes, and a modern child is not averse to frolic with such a game, especially since, despite the abundance of toys on the shelves of shops, not every family can afford a live horse.

Necessary

  • Stick
  • Sock
  • Buttons
  • Felt
  • Scraps of cloth
  • Threads
  • Needles
  • Buttons
  • Glue

Instructions

Step 1

To make a horse, first of all, you need an old sock, which you do not mind throwing away. Fill it with filler (such as cotton balls, foam rubber, or unnecessary rags)

Step 2

Cut out the horse's ears - any non-loose fabric, such as felt, is best for them.

Bend the eyelet so that it has a base that can be glued to the muzzle-sock.

Step 3

Find the buttons that will serve as the horse's eyes and sew to the face.

Step 4

Cut the felt remaining from the ears into thin long strips - they will make an excellent mane. Stick it on your toe. The head is ready!

Step 5

Quilting the edges of the sock with a needle, tucking in the filling more tightly and pushing the stick into the sock (you can use a mop handle, for example).

Step 6

Tighten the sock around the stick. Fix with a thread and a needle around the base so that the head is firmly held and you can go on your first horse ride.
