Necessary

  • - metal case from the old freezer;
  • - coniferous board;
  • - plane;
  • - jigsaw;
  • - sandpaper;
  • - screws;
  • - rubber;
  • - paint or drying oil;
  • - plywood;
  • - sponge;
  • - tarpaulin;
  • - furniture stapler;
  • - wooden blocks;
  • - durable belt.

Instructions

Step 1

The most practical and less heavy fishing box can be made from a freezer taken from an old Soviet refrigerator that has fallen into disrepair. Separate from the chamber the metal tubes through which the gas passed (frion). So the body for the fishing box is ready.

Step 2

Take a coniferous board, its thickness should be two to three centimeters, and the width should correspond to the dimensions of the box. Dry the board thoroughly and plan it with a plane. Transfer the dimensions of the bottom of the box to the tree. Using a jigsaw, cut out the desired shape of the bottom and sand the edges with sandpaper, cover the outside of the board with paint or linseed oil.

Step 3

Insert a rubber sealing strip between the walls of the case and the bottom, it will help prevent the penetration of melt water into the box, especially in spring. Rubber can be taken from an old bicycle tube, tighten the ends of the bottom with it and, stepping back from the bottom edge three to five centimeters, fix it to the walls of the box with screws.

Step 4

Use a jigsaw to cut the cover for the drawer out of thick plywood, while taking into account the small gaps on the sides and in the front. Put a sponge or foam rubber on the made plywood blank and cover it with a tarpaulin cloth. Secure the edges of the tarp to the plywood with a furniture stapler on the underside of the cover.

Step 5

Connect the manufactured lid to the box body with small hinges using screws of the required size. Insert a small block of wood from the inside of the case; the screws connecting the hinges will cut into it. If necessary, you can make several compartments from board scraps in the fishing box (for tackle, food and production). Place the sawn-off workpieces in a vertical position in the body and fasten with screws to the walls.

Step 6

For the convenience of carrying the fishing box, you will need a strong and wide strap, which should be bolted to the sides of the case, after making holes in the sides. The fishing box is ready, it is very strong, comfortable and durable.
