Instructions

Step 1

Select the equestrian club where you plan to train. The main criteria are the qualifications of the trainers, the level of training and the number of horses. An important factor will be the availability of the arena for you and the price of the lessons. Pay attention to the comfort of the premises: an indoor arena, the presence of showers and changing rooms will make the classes more enjoyable.

Step 2

Get started with horse riding training with a personal trainer. Only in this case, you are guaranteed to learn the correct landing, technique, basic skills of handling a horse. Classes with an experienced trainer in the arena are the safest for beginners. Typically, the first cycle consists of 10 lessons. You will learn to brush, saddle, ride, walk and trot.

Step 3

The next 10 lessons can be held as a group. These lessons usually focus on galloping skills. The third cycle of 10 lessons is devoted to teaching different gaits. After that, you can simply continue to ride for your pleasure or do more serious sports: show jumping, jigging or dressage.

Step 4

Exercise twice a week for three months. This time is enough to feel confident riding. Keep in mind that the more often you ride, the faster the results will come. The lesson should last at least thirty minutes. Gradually lengthen the lesson to one hour.

Step 5

Don't try to ride the same horse all the time. Each animal has its own habits and characteristics. Different horses may react differently to the same movement of yours. To gain experience with horses and not depend on the temperament of a particular trotter, ride different horses, especially during the first training cycle. Watch it yourself, not every coach will pay attention to it.

Step 6

After the first session, be sure to take a warm bath and massage. Do some stretching exercises on the inner thighs and buttocks. Riding is a serious exercise, and the first time after exercise, your muscles will be very sore.
