Magnetic albums are a harmonious combination of modern technology and vintage design. When looking at such an album, one gets the impression that the photos are simply glued to the sheet, in fact, they are under the film.

A magnetic photo album consists of sheets of cardboard or very thick paper, to which a transparent film that covers the photo is "magnetized". These sheets have an adhesive backing that does not leave marks either on the cards themselves or on the film. This combination allows you to capture the photo in the desired position. The main thing is to leave a place for the contact of the film and paper.

The main advantage of photo albums with magnetic sheets is that you can place photos in any size and in any position. Albums with pockets usually fit only standard formats - 10x15.

Magnetic photo albums are often used as a basis for scrapbooking, since, in addition to the photographs themselves, you can place inscriptions printed on paper or small memorabilia (a dried flower, a ticket to a concert, a torn corner of a tablecloth, etc.). You can draw on the film itself over the photo: the commemorative card will be safe and sound, and the spread of the album will look unusual. Maximum closeness to old albums (thick pages and heaviness) create a pleasant feeling of something already experienced and make you choose this particular item for storing photos.

In addition, there is another advantage of the magnetic photo album. Small children love to watch such things, while often causing irreparable harm, but in this case they are unlikely to figure out how to pull out photographs, and they will remain untouched. But for mothers, filling out such an album can be a great hobby, because you can put both a baby's tag and a birth certificate in it. And decorating it with children is an entertaining business.

The disadvantages of magnetic photo albums include the fact that their pages are prone to yellowing. True, it is not clear what the "speed" of such a metamorphosis depends on. Some have ivory pages even after 10 years, and some have problems after a year. Manufacturers claim that magnetic albums can withstand several photo replacements without loss of quality, however, based on practice, such manipulations should not be performed unless absolutely necessary. Each time the album keeps the photo worse and worse.

Another drawback is the cost of the magnetic album, which is slightly higher than that of the standard one. However, it cannot be called too overestimated, since the merits of such an object fully justify it.
