Instructions

Step 1

The city got its name from the word "fryaziny" - the nickname of the Italians, who under Tsar Ivan III built cathedrals and churches, erected fortresses in Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, Pskov, poured cannons and set up factories. In the annals of 1584, the first mention of the village of Fryazino was written. In 1901, a stone building was built in the village for a silk-weaving factory, which was headed by Anna Mikhailovna Kaptsova. All residents of the village of Fryazino found work in the factory. In 1918 the plant was nationalized, and in 1924 the weaving activity was suspended due to the lack of raw materials.

Step 2

In 1912, a school was opened in the village. Before that, Fryazin children went to school in a neighboring village. On the basis of the Kaptsovs' factory building in 1933 the “Radiolampa” plant was organized. It was the largest enterprise in the Shchelkovsky district at that time. On the right bank of the river, the administration of the plant began the construction of the working village of Fryazino-1.

Step 3

In 1938 Fryazino received the status of an urban-type settlement. There were: a plant, a medical outpatient clinic, a bathhouse, a school, two kindergartens, shops, transport links with Moscow, four-storey buildings. During the Great Patriotic War, the plant produced metal cups for anti-tank grenades and radio tubes for mine detectors. A trade school was opened at the plant. On July 6, 1943, an order was issued to establish a research institute on the basis of the "Radiolampa". This is how the science city of Fryazino was born. In the postwar years, the second stage of housing construction began.

Step 4

In 1951 Fryazino received the status of a city. New enterprises of the electronic industry, a semiconductor device plant were opened. In 1968 the city became a major center for the electronics industry in the USSR. In 1999, the city's coat of arms and anthem were approved. On December 29, 2003, the President of the Russian Federation signed a decree granting Fryazino the status of a science city.

Step 5

In Fryazino, in addition to the electronics industry, there is a tea-packing company "Maisky Tea", as well as various confectionery enterprises. Furniture manufacturing organizations operate in the city. Sights of the city: Grebnevo estate, Alley of Heroes and Stella of Victory.

Step 6

The city is located 7 km from the Fryanovskoe highway. There is a bus station on Polevoy Street. About 10 commuter buses pass through Fryazino every day. There are three fixed-route taxis and state buses operating inside the city. There is also a railway station. From Moscow to Fryazino can be reached by train, which departs from the Yaroslavl railway station of the capital.
