Technology has replaced human labor in almost all spheres of activity. Today it is difficult to imagine a household without a walk-behind tractor or a tractor, which facilitate the work of farmers. Recently, however, attachments for a tractor have increased in price due to high demand. Nevertheless, some especially resourceful people have learned how to make units on their own. You can make a plow with your own hands, but only an avid farmer who is familiar with metalworking is capable of doing it.

Necessary

  • - bending rollers;
  • - circular saw blade;
  • - steel pipe;
  • - a hammer;
  • - sheet steel 3 mm thick;
  • - welding machine;
  • - Bulgarian.

Instructions

Step 1

Making a plow for a walk-behind tractor with your own hands is not so easy. First you need to understand the structure of the unit, as well as the plowing process. Experienced farmers are well aware that the technology of plowing cultivated soil differs significantly from plowing stagnant untreated soils. Therefore, when working on a homemade plow, this must be taken into account.

Step 2

The working parts of the plow are the field board, the blade and the share. The body of the device with a 3-edged wedge cuts off a layer of earth, then lifts it, crushes it, turns it over, and dumps it into an open ditch. This plowing process is based on the interaction of the 3-edged wedge with the soil, which must evenly cover the furrow.

Step 3

It is advisable to make the ploughshare removable so that you can sharpen it before work. For this, steel 45 or a circular saw blade is suitable. To be able to bend the sheet, bending rollers are needed through which the steel is passed, after which it is adjusted according to the template using a hammer.

Step 4

It is possible to make a homemade share from a steel pipe with a bend. However, before starting gas welding, a template should be cut out of cardboard, attached to the pipe and a contour should be drawn.

Step 5

The body of a homemade plow is made of sheet steel 3 mm thick, while you need to first draw and make parts from thick cardboard. The main thing here is to precisely observe the magnitude and ratio of all angles. When all the parts are ready for assembly, you will need a welding machine, as well as a sheet of steel corresponding to the plow size.

Step 6

So, set aside on the sheet the required angle at which the ploughshare will be attached. It must be grabbed by welding on both sides, after which the side shield of the rack should be brought under it. The latter should protrude beyond the edge of the sheet. Thanks to this, the blade will be able to cut the ground without interference. It needs to be welded to the ploughshare and steel sheet.

Step 7

The blade should fit tightly with the share. This is necessary in order for a homemade plow to turn out to be of high quality. Here, too, the size of the angle must be accurately taken into account (approximately 6-8 °). If the corners still do not correspond, you will have to refine everything with a hammer.

Step 8

After that, the base, the spacer bar and the stop corners are attached to the flap. When all of this is partially welded, inspect the plow and only then fully weld. Detach the steel sheet with a grinder. You can now clean the plow and sand it with sandpaper. In order for the unit to work independently, it is required to attach a two-wheeled unit. You can build it from pipes and steel wheels.
