Through letters, people confess their love, solve commercial issues, give instructions and ask for help. Important letters should not be written casually, because the addressee may not understand the essence of the messy text.

Instructions

Step 1

Write your main point in one phrase. This exercise is useful so that many words of the letter do not "mask" the essence. The reader can perceive the text from his own point of view and interpret what is stated differently from the way the author thought.

Step 2

Add two to three paragraphs for clarification. Usually people don't send serious one-sentence emails. It is necessary to substantiate the requirements or requests for which the letter was conceived. Provide facts, comparisons, opinions of other people, etc., so that the addressee does not have to speculate on the situation. The explanatory part of the letter can get long, then repeat the main idea several times in the text, expressing it in different words.

Step 3

Come up with an introduction to prepare the reader for the letter. Imagine the state of mind a person must be in to take your words seriously. Encourage him, comfort him, or express gratitude for the friendship.

Step 4

Add an inspiring conclusion. If you expect a response from a person, write specifically about it. Indicate the date and time if you want to receive something. Otherwise, the addressee will postpone the letter in order to do other important things - after all, there is no time limit, which means that you can reply later. To inspire your reader to take action, praise them and thank them for their response - as if you already received it.

Step 5

Record the text on a voice recorder and listen to it in a few days alone. If the letter is not confidential, read it out loud in the presence of a friend for an outside perspective. If the listener understands the essence, the letter can be sent. Sometimes it is not possible to postpone the analysis of what has been written for several days - an urgent dispatch is needed. Then read aloud immediately and try to correct the discordant phrases.
