Every year, several times it is necessary to increase deductions from family budgets to pay gas bills. Next year is no exception. From the statement of V. V. Putin follows that the increase in gas tariffs in 2012 could reach 15%.

In accordance with the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation and the guidelines of the Federal Tariff Service, the retail price for individuals depends on the size of the gas transportation tariff of the gas distribution organization that supplies fuel to the population of a particular municipality. In addition, the price is influenced by the specific load of gas distribution networks, as well as the share of gas transported to the population in the total annual volume.

Gas producers themselves give their explanation to the growing tariffs. According to them, new deposits are "moving away" further and further away from consumers, which naturally affects the increase in the cost of delivery. But that's not all.

The share of transportation in the gas price is only 40%. Large funds have to be spent on well maintenance, maintenance and repair of gas pumping stations. This is only the "federal" component. At the regional level, supply and distribution charges are added to payments for delivery through distribution networks, and the total amount may be higher than that announced by the federal authorities.

However, the regional "amateur performance" does not end there. In some places, officials set different tariffs for gas for cooking and heating, or introduce benefits for certain categories of the population. To what has been said, it is worth adding the decision, made at the highest level four years ago, on the need to bring prices on the domestic market up to the world level, and no one canceled it.

Many independent experts see in the rise in tariffs the desire of gas producing and gas supply companies to develop their business at the expense of ordinary consumers, forgetting that a tariff is a payment for a service rendered, and not an investment. For this there are their huge profits, part of which should be spent on expanding and developing the business.
