For comfortable wearing, the watch bracelet must be adjusted to the diameter of the hand. Some straps are adjustable by hole selection, others by changing the number of links.

Necessary

  • - chisel;
  • - screwdriver;
  • - small pliers.

Instructions

Step 1

To adjust the plastic or leather strap, pull it towards the tightening direction so that the tab comes out of the hole. Lift the strap above the tongue so that it does not enter the adjacent hole, select another, then release the bracelet and fix it at the selected hole on the tongue. Always wear your watch so that it is on the opposite side of your wrist and the bottom of the watch face (graduation 6) is on the same side as your thumb.

Step 2

Do not tighten the strap too tight to avoid wrinkling your hand, but at the same time, do not allow the watch to sag too much. If this is not possible, you can carefully pierce an additional hole in the bracelet. It must correspond to the already existing ones, not only in size, but also in shape. Improper piercing of the hole can cause the strap to delaminate over time.

Step 3

Adjust the metal bracelet by removing the links. In the bracelet, they alternate with staples. To remove the link, use a chisel to lift one petal on one bracket and on the other both. Remove the second bracket, and with it the link. Then insert the petal of the first staple (remaining in the bracelet) into the previous link and bend it. Do not scratch the front side of the bracelet.

Step 4

Try on your watch, and then remove and remove another link as described above, if necessary. Remove links until you reach the desired length of the bracelet. To remove the watch, unlock the catch (if present) and then lift the top of the lock. As in the previous case, do not make the strap too short.

Step 5

If it turns out that the watch bracelet is shortened too much, carefully replace one of the removed links together with the bracket. Perform this operation in the reverse order: pull back one petal of the bracket, pull it out, insert the link, bend the petal, then insert the bracket into the holes of the two adjacent links and bend both of its petals from the back side.

Step 6

Some ladies' and also sports watches are supplied with non-standard bracelets. The elastic strap does not require adjustment - just put it on. To adjust the Velcro strap, disconnect it, move it to the desired position, and then reconnect it.
