Necessary

  • - the engine from the washing machine;
  • - metal corners 50x50;
  • - bolts;
  • - chipboard sheet 600x300x20 mm
  • - vinyl plastic, duralumin, textolite or plywood;
  • - saw blade;
  • - belt pulley;
  • - metal rod;
  • - bearing assembly;
  • - welding machine;
  • - steel plate.

Instructions

Step 1

Choose a circular saw blade For making a homemade circular saw, it is recommended to purchase a rip saw blade with 48 teeth. Recommended disc diameter - 200 mm, thickness - 1.6 mm. Since the motor from the washing machine used in the manufacture of the circular saw does not have sufficient power, it seems impractical to use discs of a larger diameter and thickness. For cutting chipboard materials, it is recommended to purchase discs, the teeth of which are equipped with carbide plates.

Step 2

Make a work table You can make a circular saw work table from plywood, duralumin or vinyl plastic. Combine the posts made from a metal bar, the base of the table and its console part. Make a 10 mm slot in the table.

Step 3

Attach the metal brackets to the engine with bolts. Attach the chipboard base to the corners with bolts on one side and the work table on the other.

Step 4

Install the belt pulley and saw blade onto the bearing assembly. From the bottom to the table, attach the bearing assembly with the shaft.

Step 5

Place the metal corner guide on the table parallel to the saw blade. The length of the rail must be 450 mm. To adjust the distance to the disc and fasten the guide, cut two transverse grooves in the lower flange of the corner.

Step 6

Equip the circular saw with a switch that will instantly de-energize the motor in the event of an abnormal situation or after work is finished.
