From July 4 to September 5, London's Barbican Arts Center is hosting the Designing 007 exhibition, timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the famous James Bond movie saga. The exhibition is dedicated to the history of the creation of the style of the popular super agent, who is rightfully considered a trendsetter, always going one step ahead of contemporary trends. To see the artifacts with your own eyes, you need to go to London and visit the Barbican.

The exhibition features over 400 costumes worn by all Bond actors, from Seann Connery to Daniel Craig. Famous couturiers worked on the creation of clothes for the spy and his girlfriends: Giorgio Armani, Hubert Givenchy, Roberto Cavalli, Tom Ford, Donatella Versace, Oscar de la Renta and others. Bond girls' evening dresses and other iconic wardrobe items - for example, the famous white Ursula Andres' bikini (Casino Royale, 1967) and Daniel Craig's blue swim trunks (Casino Royale, 2006) are also on display. Some of the missing pieces of clothing were specially restored for the exhibition by costume designer Lindy Hemming.

On display are Bond vehicles such as a BMW motorcycle (Tomorrow Never Dies, 1997) or an Aston Martin DB5. Interestingly, this legendary car, which debuted in 1964 in the film Goldfinger, again took part in filming and will appear on the screens in the fall in the film 007: Coordinates of Skyfall.

Viewers can view a variety of photographs, sketches, scenery, Bond spy gadgets and other items related to the movie saga. Also presented are materials from the personal archives of the writer Ian Fleming, who created an employee of the British intelligence service MI6. After visiting the exposition, visitors can taste the favorite cocktail of the super agent: in the “007 Martini Bar” it is prepared exactly according to the James Bond recipe.
