  • - departure sheet;
  • -resident card;
  • - an international passport with a mark about moving to permanent residence;
  • -certificate from the host country regarding the application for a residence permit

Step 1

According to article 3 of the Law of Ukraine "On the procedure for importing (sending) personal belongings to Ukraine", you will have to declare your personal belongings. This is necessary so that the customs authorities from the Ukrainian side do not have any questions for you. Moreover, you will have to fill out customs documents both if you yourself accompany your belongings, and if you send them by any type of transport without personal presence. The difference between processing personal cargo from all others is that you can draw up a declaration both in writing and orally. Your cargo will not be taxed.

Step 2

To avoid misunderstandings at the border or when registering a parcel, it is best to prepare a number of specific documents in advance. They will help you prove the fact that you are moving to Ukraine for permanent residence, that these are things intended for arranging your life, and not for trade or smuggling. The package of necessary papers includes: departure sheet; a valid foreign passport of the Russian Federation, in which the migration service's mark of moving to permanent residence abroad is affixed; a certificate issued by the OVIR of Ukraine, which confirms that your documents for obtaining a residence permit have been accepted; the actual residence permit. If you provide the customs officers with these documents, then they should not have any questions for you at all.

Step 3

You can transport your belongings in several different ways. For example, road transport. As a rule, a truck is hired for this. You can have a Gazelle, you can have a truck. The cost of the service in this case will be about 50,000 rubles (depending on the type of car). You need to hand over all the documents for the cargo to the driver (if you are not traveling with him). This is necessary so that he can safely cross the border.

Step 4

You can send your personal belongings by rail. To do this, they usually take a special container, load it and arrange transportation in accordance with all the requirements of the Ukrainian side. The only disadvantage of this method is that you will have to wait until things arrive (a week - at least two). Such transportation will cost almost the same as a car.

Step 5

You can also transport things by plane. You register the cargo in the same way as in all other cases. Pack all your belongings very compactly. So, for example, you are unlikely to have a fully assembled wardrobe on board. Since you will hand over the cargo immediately to the international cargo transportation department, you will need the customs documents right here. The cost of your shipment will also be calculated on the spot. It will depend on the weight of your baggage and the tariffs applicable at the time of sending for the shipment of one kilogram.

Step 6

If you have questions that only specialists of the customs service of Ukraine can solve for you, then you can consult with them immediately before sending the goods by phone: 8 (044) -274-82-98, 8 (044) -247-26-06, 8 (044) -274-27-06, fax: 8 (044) -236-82-81.
