Disposable tableware and plastic food containers are certainly very convenient: they save both time and effort. However, despite this, doctors warn that if used improperly, plastic has a negative effect on the entire body.
Before buying, look at the markings, which are usually found on the bottom of the cookware or on the instructions. You should see an emblem with a glass and a fork, this is a mandatory symbol of a quality product. These are the utensils that can be used for contact with food and drinks. It is recommended to use plastic dishes once. With repeated use, the outer protective layer of plates, forks and cups is damaged, which contributes to the release of harmful substances: phenol, formaldehyde, lead and cadmium. For hot dishes, choose pans with PP marking, which are made on the basis of polypropylene. You can safely use such plates for heating food in a microwave oven, they are resilient and very resistant to high temperatures. It is good to freeze food in such a dish. Expanded polystyrene, from which high-quality disposable tableware is made, is completely environmentally friendly and safe. This is evidenced by the ЕРS badge on the product packaging. Such plates and glasses do not change shape and remain rigid, even if you pour boiling water into them or put something hot. But on the dishes for cold dishes should be marked PS. If you put hot food in such a container, the release of toxins, which are harmful to health, will begin. Ask the seller for a quality certificate for all purchased products.
